Campus Bike Day!

Hop on a bicycle Friday, September 9 and ride to campus to be part of  UC Berkeley’s first ever Campus Bike Day Campus Bike Day aims to get students, staff and faculty motivated to bicycle commute to campus. Both new and seasoned cyclists are invited to come celebrate bicycling as a fun, healthy and sustainable means of transport.

Bike to Campus!

The first 200 bikers to visit Energizer Stations, open from 8am-10am at three locations on campus (North Gate, Bancroft @Telegraph, and Bancroft at Dana) will receive a FREE Berkeley bike map. Everybody – bikers and non-bikers alike – has an opportunity to win great prizes in our FREE RAFFLE, including a brand new Bianchi commuter bike.

Campus Bike Fair – 3-7pm in Lower Sproul Plaza

The celebrations continue with local cycling organizations, food trucks, helpful workshops, inspirational talks, and free live music at the Campus Bike Fair from 3pm-7pm on Lower Sproul Plaza. From 4-5pm various 15 minute talks and workshops will be offered from how to change a flat to how to prepare for a lengthy bike tour. Following the talks and workshops, local musicians will be performing from 5-7pm on an off-grid, Pedal-Powered Stage from Rock The Bike and audience members are invited to help amplify the music by riding stationary bicycles. Throughout the event, BicyCal, the student bicycle cooperative, and Mike’s Bikes will be stationed on Lower Sproul to give free bike tune-ups.

About Us

Campus Bike Day is coordinated by the student-run bicycle advocacy groups Campus Bike Initiative and BicyCal who have received a grant from The Green Initiative Fund to promote bicycling as a sustainable form of transport on campus.
