Moving Planet Day of Action – Sept. 24, 2011

Moving Planet is an international day of mobilization to demand government action to move beyond the global fossil fuel infrastructure. The key part of the day is to pour people into the streets — on foot, bicycle and other means of sustainable movement!

You can join the following Berkeley and Bay Area events:

Please RSVP for the Mega-Massive Mobilization in downtown SF! Link:

Morning Bike Ride in Berkeley (9am – 11:15am)

Kick off the day with a ride co-sponsored by the East Bay Bike Coalition, Transition Berkeley, and Ecology Center. Enjoy complementary coffee and bagels at the downtown Bike Station, then ride through the streets of Berkeley to show our support for the bicycle and other sustainability solutions. We’ll visit Lorin Station, site of an inspiring city project and listen to some great local music. We’ll wrap up the bike ride at Ashby BART, where we’ll gather with others and head to SF.
